Presentation SiteIncreased use of touch screen devices (e.g., iPads) in educational technology has resulted in hundreds of available apps for the classroom. However, apps tagged as 'educational' in the marketplace are not created equally; some apps fail to make use of interactions or feedback conducive to learning. This seminar will provide attendees with methods for evaluating educational apps to support constructive learning in the classroom, focusing on finding interactions that promote deep cognitive processes. Feel free to bring your own device(s) and explore app demos along with us.
