Using Multimedia in Math Instruction

UEN has partnered with organizations to bring you multimedia resources that engage a variety of learning styles and help close proficiency gaps. We'll offer hands-on training to help you discover these resources and implement them in your LMS. In this session we'll focus on secondary math resources from NROC Math and PBS Learning Media resources.

Designing High-Impact Courses for Blended Environments Using OERs

This hands-on workshop will give participants an opportunity to create instructional learning outcomes and align assessments to those learning outcomes for a "mini course" of their choosing. We will then discuss methods for finding, evaluating, and incorporating open educational resources into curriculum that would support student learning in a blended or flipped classroom environment.

The goal of this workshop is to help teachers improve course quality by ensuring alignment among course components and incorporating engaging resources that help students see the relevance of content they are learning.

Come and see how Mountain Heights Academy students benefit from digital resources, then create their own digital projects that can then be used in the course. Specific examples will come from Social Studies, Foods, Financial Literacy and Spanish, with links to other resources in all subject areas.
