Presentation Site
Transitioning from paper to digital can be daunting. Come and see how Mountain Heights Academy students benefit from digital resources, then create their own digital projects that can then be used in the course. Specific examples will come from Social Studies, Foods, Financial Literacy and Spanish, with links to other resources in all subject areas.

iPads in the Classroom -- The Best Learning Experience Ever
Presentation Site
Students will demonstrate projects they have created throughout the year, along with discussing their funnest experiences and learning methods. They will also be discussing different strategies and techniques for introducing iPads in the classroom and what can be done to limit the stress and confusion of having to learn a "new" way of learning.

STEM-ulating Curriculum

Conference Credit
USOE CREDIT

One hour of lane change credit is available from USOE. To receive a USOE credit you must do the following:


Register for USOE Credit by completing the UCET 2014 Course Registration in “OnTrack”

At the UCET Conference on April 3-4, 2014:

  • Attend the keynote(s).
  • Attend all eight sessions. The exhibits count as one session.
  • Fill out the “What I attended/What I learned/How I will use it” form for each session
  • Complete all forms and turn in at the prize drawing at the end of the conference.
  • Be sure to include your full name and CACTUS ID on the form.
  • This MUST be completed and turned in on April 4th at the close of the conference, as credit will not be offered at a later date.
  • UPDATE: As an alternate you may email your completed form to tricia_e70e@sendtodropbox.com

You will not receive notice that you have received a USOE credit. Credit will be available through the OnTrack system in your Cactus report.

LICENSURE POINTS

For those NOT interested in USOE credit, you may receive licensure points at the end of the conference for the hours attended. The “Licensure Points” Certificate is include with the conference materials received at registration. You may receive up to 10 points maximum (5 points each day) for attending the UCET Conference.
