TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, & Design -- three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future. TED talks are riveting talks by remarkable people and are free to the world. This session is designed to introduce participants to the wide variety of resources available on the TED website and how to use them in the classroom. During this session, participants will:
- Create a TEDEd flipped lesson in order to enhance classroom learning and instruction. Participants will use the TED.Ed platform to choose video resources and then add discussion prompts, short answers, quiz questions, and further research links to create an interactive flipped lesson.
- Curate curriculum content from TED playlists to provide real-world examples. Using TED talks, participants will find real-world examples which provide meaning to required core curriculum.
- Explore mobile app alternatives to incorporate digital tools to promote student learning. Participants will investigate a variety of TED mobile apps that can be utilized on a wide range of devices.

In this session you will learn about 5 easy to use, FREE apps that you can learn with just a few minutes of practice to transform the way you create and share content with your students. This class is ideal for teachers who have one iPad, but all of the information can be adapted for student use in classrooms with iPad carts or 1-to-1 programs.

You will learn about eClicker, Nearpod, and Infuse Learning. These tools allow students opportunities to respond, increases student engagement, and provide teachers with the data to drive instructional decision making. Each of these tools are simple, quick and effective for classroom use. These tools range from app enabled to internet based devices. Join this trio of fun for an unforgettable 20-20-20 experience!

Learn how to keep up on the best instructional technology resources for your students and classroom in a fraction of the time it typically takes to research web resources, test them and begin implementation. Students using the iPad for creating, collaborating, and consuming takes management and planning. I will share how my students use Google Drive, iMovie, iBooks, and Screencasting apps each day. I will also discuss iPad management and a few other apps we use in our classroom. It's not about how many apps you have, it's about how you use them.

The Willow Springs Elementary 4th and 5th grade students are creating a weekly news program entirely created with iPads. In this session you will learn how they have set up their student program, assigned students specific jobs and roles, then capture video and produce their show using the iPads, iMovie, Green Screens, and YouTube.
